Re: {Chrysler 300} 1993 Chrysler 300

According to the Hemmings article, it appears that this was a concept by ASC and not Chrysler.

In my opinion the LHS is much more attractive in the front end than this. When Chrysler did bring the 300 back as the 300M in 1999, it seems it was just a quick use of the new second-generation Eagle Vision, that was orphaned when they dropped the Eagle brand. That's why it doesn't have any actual 300 styling cues.

Darrin,

I worked on the LH program at Chrysler from 1988-1995.  The LHS  which is what this vehicle appears to be,  was a late add to the program as Bob Lutz wanted something more formal and this vehicle with the Jaguar type roofline was created.  I do not remember this front end on the prototype, at this time, round headlights were passe, and as I recall, no prototype or show cars made by Chrysler at that time had this type of Nissan front end.  During those years, there was no talk of a 300.
