{Chrysler 300} Door Handles Painted ?

Happy New Year  !!!

I have a question about my 300G outside door handles.

The car is in the paint shop to be painted. I have the door handles because I am cleaning the lock mechanisms and will install them in the New Replacement door handles.

I notice that on the old door handles the undersides are painted with what appears to be Flat  Black paint. May I assume this is the way it came from the factory? I believe they are the door handles that are original to the car.
