If I had a heart transplant or pacemaker installed, I'd want it to beat like original. Not make a constant wrrrrrrrrrrrrrrring noise. LOL.

Larry -

Having had a quartz conversion done on the clock for my 1957 300C over eight years ago, , I can attest that it is NOT a "cobble" or "crap" just because it has "new" innards - it looks exactly the same as original and operates accurately and reliably, which the original obviously did NOT do!  If you had a heart transplant or pacemaker installed, would you call that a "cobble" or "crap" just because it's not original?
