RE: {Chrysler 300} 64 14" tire size

Hank,

They are a good tire. Just like the old DB tire based on the Yoko’s.

The issue is using them on daily drivers in a city with a lot of parallel parking. Sooner or later, you rub a curb and then you are wet sanding them to get the scrape out. Do this a few times and/or use them extensively in the rain and at $300 a pop…the Hankooks look like a good tire to use on a daily car…

For the record I have Diamond Backs on a dozen of my cars (G convertible) and Auburn series tires on my totally original G hardtop (with the pie-crust edge) and they are just super tires - and look great too. The whitewalls stay white!

I’ve never had a problem with them and I wouldn’t have anything else.

Coincidentally, I have Hankooks on my daily drivers - I love them too!!!

Dave,

For an occasional driver or a concourse car I would order the Auburn Radials from Diamond Back Tire. You can get what ever whitewall size you want from them.  However ,they are delivered about $300 each.

For the new ’64 that will be our car for daily driving I ordered:

215/75R-14 HANKOOK KINERGY ST SL

So far, they feel fine, but that is just at slow around the neighborhood speeds until I get the steering and brakes sorted out. These cost me $108 each.

I am running up to our out-of-town place in the AM to see if I can find that booster rod and pedal bolt or if I must go hunting for them.

Would you like me to take a photo of the tires on the car for you?

Hey All,

Old age has lost the 64 K tire size and stripe width.

Which vendor is the better one, from Your experiences ?

Selling the 15" Monaco wheels & rubber.

Thanks
