Did they end up using the two extra buttons on the ends to do anything in your conversion?

PS to Carl. If the extra buttons are useful, then I would buy a core off eBay that does not work and use that for the conversion. I could buy an AM/FM radio but by the time it is rebuilt and I get the correct bezel for it and then get an XM unit for it and the like, I would be into it for more than a conversion. Remember, this is to be a daily driver and a cross country car, not a Concourse car.

Yes, I replaced my 300K radio 7 button with an Imperial 7 button that I had converted to new tech. The car originally had a 7 button which was removed years ago. Fit fine.

I happened to turn on the radio in the car and it works just fine…I hate to cut it up. The Imperial AM radio has two extra buttons in it that can be used in a conversion.
