RE: {Chrysler 300} 1961 G convertible local car

Warning, not for the faint of heart, they are out there.  Here is a G convert “barn find “in Oklahoma I was contacted about in 2019, to see if I had an interest.   Imagine the challenge and cost of restoring this car.  I told him $10,000 to maybe $14, 000 if it had the original engine, rams and carbs.  He was not happy with my response, never heard from him again.

An age-old question I guess.  How bad does a G convertible have to be to not be worth saving?  There were only 337 to begin with.  Maybe not worth a show-car restoration, but maybe a safe, driver quality refurb?

Hi club members, I just a look at a 1961 G convert for sale in Oregon City. OR. The guy wanted $67,000 for a Black car and a tan interior. He called me and said he would take $50,000. The car is good for only a restoration or parts car. I will not buy this car, it can not be a driver. Call me if your interested about the description. I have then VIN and data plate info
