  I just inspected 62 Newport and 60 New Yorker core supports, there is no evidence of rubber isolator gromets. Evidence shows metal to metal contact. Too long ago for me to remember, had to check to be sure. Rick

In mounting one….

Any rubber bushings or grommets live between it & the frame?

Or just mount it straight to the frame?
