RE: {Chrysler 300} 300 C toe-in question

Henry, Ray

Six years ago I retired from fleet management. We had an alignment pit with the latest technology, you only had to drive onto the rack and the readout would tell you where camber and toe were at, steering right to left would then indicate caster. You would still need what specs. You wanted.  Rick

The "jounce the front end"  or "roll the car back and forth a few times" admonition is to settle the front end into the loaded position - weight on wheels - after being off the ground.  You'll easily see how the camber is way off when up in the air, and all the other parameters (caster, camber, toe-in) are only valid when the car has settled into the "ready to go" position.   Do you have access to not only the desired specifications (revised from original) but also the tools for measuring and adjusting those?  Most people don't (including myself), so it would definitely be best to take the car and spec sheet to a highly reputed alignment shop with the best equipment (Hunter is a good brand) and let the pros chase their tail for an hour or two trying to get the best compromise, because the alignment parameters interact with each other and they may not be able to get everything right on the nose no matter how hard they try!

Can the front end toe-in be measured with the wheels off the floor? The book says to jounce the front end a few times.
