I experienced this issue on our C300 years ago and ended up using a nylon washer that took care of the leak.  The other option is to replace the entire set up with one of these.  Not correct but I guess they get the job done and are a lot easier to change oil with:  Hot Heads Early Chrysler Hemi Oil Filter Adapters, 30 Degree Angle, Billet Aluminum (hothemiheads.com)
