RE: {Chrysler 300} Restoration Help!

Michael,

Post some detail photos of the car as well as a detailed list of what is yet to be done.

There are some people and shops in California that can do good work. Butt he price is not for the faint at heart.

To be able to advise you, we would need a lot more information. How much of the work is mechanical?  How much is cosmetic? Are there any missing parts?

Recommendations can vary depending on what is needed.

James.

Subject: {Chrysler 300} Restoration Help!

For over a decade now I’ve been chipping away at my effort to bring a 62H back to life. I purchased it along time ago from fellow club member, Rene Kroger, and it had been in a fire. Looking back, I paid way too much but that was a long time ago.

In the years since, I spent way too much money at two different shops, and I still have an incomplete and undrivable car. People start with good intentions, but the fact is that these are very unusual automobiles and it takes certain kind of person to work on them. All of you know that I’m sure.

At this point, I have a mostly finished nice car but I know I won’t be able to get it done by myself. The car is in Santa Barbara California although I suppose I could ship it anywhere.

Have any of you had good experiences with restoration shops?

I am also interested in the opinion of our group about whether I should just sell it eat my substantial losses in one day, perhaps buy a decent car when it shows up online. Thanks advance for all of your insights.

Rev Michael Corrigan
