{Chrysler 300} Something of a conundrum...1964 build sheet versus factory build card.

I was happy that when I took the back seat out this morning, to get the package shelf out of the way to I could peel back the headliner to get to the 300K emblems, and when I took the seat back off the build sheet was still under the seat back.

Interestingly there was a thick cardboard on the underside of the other end of the seat back that had a large “K” in script on it.

What is the conundrum is that the build sheet in the car shows WWI for paint and not TT1 as the factory card. The car is painted Ruby Red. It must be a misprint is all I can think of.

The rest of the information matches the car.

One thing I noted is the shipping order on the factory computer card is “09271090” and the schedule order date on the build sheet is “0927”. It cannot be a coincidence. I suspect that the first four digits on factory build car is the same as the in-car build sheet schedule order date. Someone who has both can see of that is the case.

Industrial Archaeology is fun!
