{Chrysler 300} More eBay Dung

Apparently, eBay has decided to set a default for sellers. That default is if a seller sets and item as available to accept an offer on it that triggers requiring any potential offeror to provide their payment information up front even before an offer has been accepted.  eBay then places a credit card hold or a pay pal hold on that amount. The fun part is that if the offer is refused, it can take up to 4 to 6 days for the hold to clear.

So, if you have several offers out there, your payment method can have hundreds or thousands of dollars of holds on it.

Sellers apparently can go into their dashboards and change the requirement, but the default is to require the payment information up front if a buyer want to make an offer.  More dung from eBay.

What a PITA.
