Re: {Chrysler 300} 1962 Max Wedge Dart - Bring A Trailer

So !
i met a guy who actually won the big european rally , I think  switzerland and Italy , in a ~ 65 (?) to 67  barracuda . I forget details of car  . A professor at Brown U , went to see him about business thing , huge pictures of dark Blue barracuda with offset white stripe , ( if memory ok ) all over his office . So needless to say, an hour later ( !) all about cars , it was a manual shift manual steer slant six . He had tried V8 one ,, said slant six way better in rally , really matters  in fast turns , he beat all the top  hot euro cars .. win!
Lots of road race setup stuff brakes etc
As Henry says , different thing . Anyone remember this?  i think Plymouth used the rally thing as advertisement ,maybe even car option name?
impressive guy ..

Since we aren’t talking about 300s... While I do appreciate the US power race in the 60’s, it appeared the main racing focus was on ¼ mile at a time.  Here in Australia, bragging rights involved longer races with corners.  Chrysler Australia had a go but put a six cylinder up against V8 competition.  We also still get nostalgic about those days.  See the attached video for a comparison of performance with the car below if you are interested.
