Re: {Chrysler 300} Source for restoring plastic medallions -

Here a post by the new guy doing this but don't know if he's taking orders. He's in Ontario, Canada and this post is in the National DeSoto Club Facebook group.

This is a REAL
Shame!!!!!!!! And a serious loss.

Over the years I bought a variety of products from him (the original owner) and they were - perfect! (As Pete says).

The last thing was a deck lid emblem for my 61 Chrysler convertible….it is incredible.

I’m really crushed that they aren’t “out there” as a resource.

Emblemagic got bought out by a woman here in Southern California who got over her head with the business and has stopped working. It's unfortunate as she was doing great work but struggled managing customers and suppliers. I met her a couple times at shows and it's too bad she couldn't make it. When she took over Emblemagic, they weren't producing anything at the time either.

There is a guy on Facebook that was trying to start up as well but I haven't seen him post anything in a while.

It's a tough business to get into as you have to rely on other people to do things, like flash plating, and most of those companies don't want to work on small batches.

What happened to Emblem Magic, the Ohio company that did all the emblems.  I got my G trunk emblem from them years ago and it was perfect.  I think they were bought out but Don't know by whom or when.  Does anyone else know, perchance???

At a local (Wauconda, IL) cruise nite yesterday, I visited with our 300 Club member Steve Southwell. Steve didn't have his beautiful '70 Hurst there, but rather his stunning red '65 Tri-Power Satellite coupe. Of course, Chrysler built no Tri-Power-topped motor that year, but Steve had the manifold custom-fabricated, with the 3 carbs fitted with the gold oval air cleaners we see on our '58, '59 and '62 Letter Car motors.

As we were talking, Steve mentioned the California-based source he's used for restoring a couple plastic emblems - one for this Plymouth and another for a '57 custom Mopar project he's working on. And the prices he mentioned were very modest for the high quality work performed. Attached is a photo of the contact info - email contact only - approx 7-month turnaround currently. Do any of you reading this email have personal experience with this source?

While we were discussing this, I was thinking about a handful of our 300 Club members who have expressed an interest in obtaining the small replacement round "E" emblems for the front and rear of their 300-E Letter Cars. We currently have no sources, here in the US or in Sweden, for these.

Another possible part we can explore is the concave '60-'61 steering wheel '300' as well as the similar shaped, but different looking, '62 steering wheel '300'.
