Here is the lamp socket removed. It pulls straight out. The lamp is the usual twist fit in the socket.

Yes there is a lamp. It is a GE 57.

On the driver side of the console, there is a notch cut in the lower section

so you can get your hand in there. The notch is covered by the console carpet.
