Re: {Chrysler 300} 1960 F Astradome installation

i think they are all the same physical size Claudio , i have mixed and matched parts without paying attention to years other than the obvious stying differences .
While not sure of above — but 99% sure , I think  you are having a problem with the sequence of putting it in , as I see chrome trim with switches is on the car .
While it’s been a while I think you build the whole thing mechanically with trim and switches all together on a bench then put it in the car all in one piece and wire it . be sure the small ground wire jumper is in place and tight . if metal  frame gauges mount to is not well grounded the regulator will not work and will / may damage all three gauges at turn on

I may stand corrected on that , but i remember the plastic is a close fit and easy to break off the tabs when assembling . I remember using e washers under some screws ant top over that issue .  All the gauges etc are serviced from under , so no need to ever remove plastic hood .
The other point is if 120 speedometer it is from a regular chrysler .
It will work ok but not a 300 speedo . They cannot be recalibrated as spring rate is different on the needle ( spacing between numbers are closer ) .
It looks very good , depends what you want .
There may be info in 60 service manual too but not sure .
hope this helps ,
John

Hi Claudio,
That isn’t a F astrodome in your pictures but I would have thought it would still fit.  Maybe you can take the rebuilt electronics and swap them into your original F astrodome.   I’m no expert, just noticing that it’s not a 150 mph speedometer.
