Re: {Chrysler 300} Source for the Inline Transmission Filter ?

use NAPA power steering aftermarket filter molded brown  plastic — comes  in two hose sizes , looks like big gas filter . About same size as 62 metal filter . I use in PS too especially if not changing both items .
62 has internal fiiter and in line , internal filter is  different I think than later TF 727 due to two pumps . I like deep pan too — while on this .
Anything that catches crap floating  in oil is a good thing , in line grabs stuff coming out of torque converter etc No real  pressure there in return
 .
I get “stock “ i also get ruined trans due to radiator heat exchanger leak , so big fan of largest external cooler instead . can be installed to look really good , but conflicts with AC . Depends on goal you have
Your opinion and mileage may vary , but that’s ok !

Hi Charlie,

Are you talking about 1961?  I know for 62-up you can use the internal Dacron filter; not sure the best filter option for cast iron TF?
I was under the impression that the external filters (like I know were used in 63) were unavailable now…?

Hi 300'ers,
Does anyone have a source for the Inline Transmission Filter ? Mopar Part Number 2400124. Or is everyone just bypassing the filter ?
