Anyone know anything about refacing solid valve lifters ?

I have 16 special very rare early “ hollow” Engle solids for Chrysker a few have marks from lobes , but not deep .. Can’t feel with finger . As you may know there is a radius on machining , not flat

I read recently the old ones are far better than new ones and can be refaced . But where ? I like hollow design .

A lot of what are sold as solids now are hydraulics with a dud steel filler piece in it . On these pushrod goes to bottom socket for it .

Do you have a lathe or have a friend nearby?

I made mine with a lathe. I went to Home Depot and got two pieces of pipe for a total of 7 or 8 dollars. I was able to get two of the short ones and two of the long ones.

I have seen them online and when I saw they were around 15.00 each I decided to make my own.
