RE: {Chrysler 300} 300K deadline.

James:

I have a newish set of Goers covers in black leather in our 300K convertible.  I would love to have you come to Brentwood (the one in Contra Costa County) and take measurements of the seat panels,  Fronts have fresh foam which was trimmed for a good fit..  Install was good.  I have two upholstery guys that are good, reasonably priced and might duplicate and install the covers for you with mine as  a guide.  You might get early delivery on a foam kit.

Happy New Year to you and all readers.

Well,

I am in the crap now. My wife is insisting that she wants the 300K mostly done and ready for a trip by March 20th.

I can make that target date on everything but the upholstery. SMS and Legendary just do not move that fast.

So, I will have to do something with the seats. I may get SMS to get panels in time or I will have to do them.

My plan is to put together a list of 300K club members in Northern California that have leather seats. I need to spend a couple of hours in their car and make patterns notes and photos. Then I will have a local shop make a set of covers using the SMS vinyl in tan or get some tan leather or the new high end fake leather in tan.

I just cannot wait six to nine months for legendary to produce a set of covers.

Who in the Northern California region has a 300K with leather that would consent to having me come by to take photos and measurements in a couple of weeks?

James.

My apologies to Chris. Around 1987 he made a sketch pattern for me of his car that was used for the 300K convertible. About 5 years ago I cleaned out my office of old files and had those in hand and said to myself why am I keeping these? It got tossed with a bunch of other stuff. The lesson is never say never again.
