How long have you had the White Paws & how many miles have you put on them ?  Are they still bright white or have they turned brown at all?

I have a set of the White paw tires on my 300C. I am very pleased with them. The car drives great. I first bought the last set of Coker American Classic in the 235 size for the car last August and when we balanced them, the all had a "hop" , but balanced OK. On the road, the car drove horrible, bounced both up and down, but also side to side. I took them to another tire shop that has a Hunter Road Force balancer that actually loads the tires as if they are on the road. This machine also provides a "rating" number for how the tire performs. Anything under 28 is acceptable. The best American Classic was 26 and two were 67 and 68, the worst tires they had ever seen. Coker was very good and took the tires back after I provided camera evidence of them on the machine. Coker had no more 235s and did not know when they would have any coming in, so I tried the White Paw 225s and the best tire registered an 8 on the machine and the worst a 16. All I can tell you.

Hello John,

In addition to comments you  may receive here on our listserver, may I also suggest you use our link to our archived listserver emails dating back to 2009. Enter your subject of interest - here enter 'tires' - and you'll see extended discussions over the past several years about tires (or any other topic of interest) about our Letter Cars, your New Yorker, etc.

You'll see the forrwardlook link farther down in each of our listserver emails, and that I've also attached for you here.

Quickly, Diamondback Tires - www.dbtires.com - are current production tires - i.e. by BF Goodrich, Hankook, Michelin, Vredstein, etc. - onto which Diamondback vulcanizes whitewall rubber of a preferred width to create their tires. I ran a set of their vulcanized Vredsteins on my 300-F for 55,000 miles over 10 years and they serviced me well, although the outer areas of the whitewalls 'devulcanized' in a few areas over the years. They had plenty of tread left, but I swapped them out because of their age. I'm now running American Classics from Coker - having logged over 20,000 miles on them on my F over the past 4 years, and they've performed well.

I am getting ready to buy a set of tires for my 1960 New Yorker with the Original 14" rims, I would like radials and not bias ply tires. What size would you recommend? and company? I have not heard of Diamond Back and I am not familiar with them, I am only familiar with Coker. Please provide input.

PS I probably would prefer putting 15" tires on the car, but would not have the correct hubcaps if I did go with 15" wheels.

All, I'm now getting ready to purchase another set of WW radials and would appreciate feedback.  With that said I don't need any input on Coker or Diamond Back.  I have several sets of the latter and love them.

A friend that works at Performance Plus Tires in Long Beach California who are the West Coast Distributor for DB and these has brought the KONTIO brand to my attention and I've had one in front of me.  They look good so if you have knowledge on this brand only please share.

Both DB and KONTIO are based on Chinese Tires but the difference is the latter has the WW built in the tire at the time of production unlike DB which are added after the fact.  Another plus is the cost is lower.  Here is a link for your review:  https://kontiotyres.com/whitepaw-classic/

Thanks in advance for your input,
