Very sad to hear of Greg”s passing. He and Sue were phenomenal Club members and friends. They were always available to help with anything 300 related. Lord knows, Greg was one of my 300 Angels from afar talking me through electrical issues, engine issues, body fitment issues at the most oddball times with a smile! Marnie and I met Greg and Sue at our first 300 Meet we attended in Dayton, Fall, 2003. It seemed every meet I attended thereafter up to the mid twenty teens we spent the night in the hospitality suite chatting about all things 300 and MOPAR topics in general until closing down at 2 am. Greg had an infectious laugh and personality. I so often think of his kindness and patience when I would call him about some stupid electrical issue I got myself into. The prize one was when I decided to paint my new auto part store coil to look original. After the paint was dry I thought I had the wire colors well sorted and reversed them and fried the part of the harness from the coil to the ignition switch. This was a Sunday afternoon central time and I called Greg. He and Sue were eating at a restaurant but he insisted on directing me how to jury rig the wiring to start the engine and move it into the garage from blocking Marnie’s vehicle and to turn off the vehicle by disconnecting the coil wire! Naturally I balked a bit about that maneuver but he talked, actually had to yell, through the phone in the restaurant so I could hear him over the sound of the engine. He wanted me to give him the area code for Lawton for the 911 service if he THOUGHT I needed it! It went smooth but every time afterwards he would inquire if the paint was pealing from the coil yet. Just a remarkable person. Practiced Dentistry for 10 years then got into manufacturing horse trailers for getting race horses to tracks without being stressed. That was all she wrote and he quit drilling teeth and this became his full time occupation. I remember him talking about the frame of restoration of his C and how he dealt with body and suspension fitment so that there were no stress points on the chassis. Glad to hear that John Hannon got to benefit from his meticulous craftsmanship! The last time I had the pleasure to be in the company of Greg and Sue was at Bob Merritt’s mini-meet in Auburn, N.Y., July 2022. They drove from Ontario in their new BMW performance convertible! Marnie enjoyed chatting with Sue and Greg immensely, especially with Sue about her passion for horses. Our thoughts and prayers are with Sue and family. Marnie and Rob Kern

WOW! SAD news indeed! I've been wondering about him and Sue the past few years; they were great people as many have already said. He truly will be missed! I am extremely fortunate that I was able to purchase our 57 C Coupe from them back in the late 90s! They graciously offered to put me up for the night when I visited to make the purchase. It is a phenomenal car; the most rattle-FREE '57 I ever had the pleasure to drive! I'd thought of maybe selling it in the next couple years; maybe now I just need to hang onto it! He was a consumate CRAFTSMAN for sure! It's been a terrific car; only needing Oil & Filter changes and of course occassional new battery, tires, the usual wear items! Rest In Peace our Friend!
John Hannon C & D Coupes yes, a truly fantastic guy .. jkg
Going to my computer and seeing this today my heart sank. Gregg and Sue were a couple of very special people to the club. Christie and I spent a good amount of time with them at meets and always enjoyed the fellowship.
Godspeed to you Gregg and we are thinking of Sue and the family,
John & Christie Lazenby
Gregg and Sue were fantastic people. I first met Gregg through former Wisconsin club member Bob Nitz twenty plus years ago. I spent many hours at meets talking to Gregg in the hospitality room or the parking lot. He had an ability to tell stories with a sense of humor that had you doubled over laughing. We had many a LaBatts Blue beer in the wee hours of the morning solving the problems of the world. I also have one of his wiring harnesses.
A fantastic friend and a real smart guy. We'll miss you Gregg. Our condolences to Sue and the Leggatt family.

Gregg was one of the nicest people it has been our plesure to know. We thoroughtly enjoyed the times we spent with Gregg and Sue at meets, and will miss him sorely. He was also a great benefactor for the club, producing his wiring harnesses and acting as a judge in the concours judging. Our condolences go to Sue, and to the club in general.

Gregg was a super guy, dedicated to the 300 preservation cause, always willing to share his experience and knowledge to anyone about the letter cars he drove or had in the past. I witnessed him talking for hours with a new member at a meet a few years ago,
sharing all he knew about letter cars into the late evening...I could see how someone who has limited experience with letter cars could benefit from a long discussion with Gregg. If you had a wiring question, Gregg was the go to guy to get the correct answer.
He helped me a lot with my wiring question, that's for sure!
We will miss seeing and talking to him.
Our deepest thoughts to his family.
