Re: {Chrysler 300} Buffalo Meet 2025: The Details Part 2 of 6

Hey Ron

This is a great list - thank you!

One place you forgot, however,  is Frankie Martin’s place* on Chippewa Street.  I went there with my good friend and Cornell fraternity brother who lived in Hamburg (Jay Piersanti, who drew “Otto Mechanic” for over 40 years) in the fall of 1973 and it’s an experience I will never forget. Note: If any of you western NY guys recall Frankie Martin’s,
 I will be astounded….

Very much looking forward to this meet!

300 Club Members and your Guests,

Today we talk about everyone's favorite topic - FOOD.   When you combine the likes of Irish, Italian, Polish, German, and several other cultures, what you get is great food, and Buffalo is known for its cuisine!  Our itinerary will take us to an Italian Restaurant that is locally famous, Chefs, where pro athletes and dignitaries can be found on occasion.  There is a polish restaurant Sto Lat nearby that serves a tasty polish platter, pierogis, and schnitzl.  There are many more of the kind.

If you wish to enjoy fine dining, may I recommend Russell's Steaks, Chops and More, or Italian Prime at Salvatore's?   Russell Salvatore started both restaurants, and will still be found at 90 years old greeting you at the door of Russell's.  His sons run Salvatores, which is the place where I proposed to my wife Tracy 43 years ago!  You might consider early reservations if you have the desire for either.

Of course, this article could not be written without mention of two very special Buffalo delicacies, Beef on Weck and Chicken WIngs!  There are plenty of places to get these specialties, and the most prominent places are within earshot of the hotel.   Note:  In Buffalo they are just WINGS.   Any mention of "Buffalo" Wings is downright heresy here.

We are preparing a list of restaurants that will appear in your meet folder which should satisfy any taste.  I hope to join you at some of these establishments,   July is here and time is running out to reserve your room at the discount rate!

Sincerely,  and until my next update,

Ron K on behalf of Jamie H and Bob M
