Michael-

Every decent sized market has an auto-electric shop that rebuilds alternators and

starters. Though they don't see them often most of these can easily handle an Autolite or Delco generator. Yours will likely need an armature and field coils. These parts are out there often readily available only to these shops. 

 

The regulator likely caused this so be sure to replace it. Examine the wiring too.
