[59plymouth] HOOD STRIKER QUESTION

Hello Group

 

Am I correct in assuming that for the 59 PLYMOUTH,,,there was NO spring around the hood striker to 'POP' the hood upon release of the latch???

 

Or is mine missing something??

 

Seems like a good thing to have,,,but I cannot find a pic of one on a 59
