I used to think the same thing but it turns out that there was such a
thing. It took some digging but Chrysler did make 400 cold weather
blocks. They
have extra web thickness and reinforcing on the side casting. If you can
find one
they are really really strong, but very rare. They were used for the
cold
climates of Minn, and the like. They do exist I have seen pics of them.
