YES !!! Back in the day... when we did the dirt circle track thing, there was an older fellow (65 to 70 yrs old.... where I am now) that had a son in law that ran the tracks we did. I would often run into him after the races. He drove a 70 Sport Fury GT with a 440 + 6 engine. I know it was a bucket seat console car (no high backs) and it seems to me that it was a 4 speed car (no pistol grip) but my 68 year old mind might be cheating me... It was the same color as a Chrysler 300 H which led me to believe it was something extra special, but I have not been able to verify that. I was driving a new 76 Fury Sport at the time, and had a GTX, a hemi Roadrunner, a 56 Imperial, and several 63 Plymouths at the time, but always loved the odd hot rods. I tried to buy that car time after time, offering obscene money for the time, but this guy bought it new and was not going to sell it, even tho his wife encouraged him to sell because she didn't like to drive it. Which puts more weight into the 4 speed memory. Wish I had a pic of it, but that was long before cell phones and cameras... I'd still love to have one. All I lack is the financial means to make it happen... and has been said... I won't sell my 63 to buy one.
