As my '65 Coronet 500 edges more to race car than street car, it received a
16 gallon Jaz fuel cell, which Mazzollini ordered on my behalf. Problem is
that a full load of 111 octane juice doesn't even make the original guage on dash
move, altough it might have moved up just the slightest bit. I suspect Jaz
installed a (gasp) GM sending unit on the cell. Does anyone know what the
correct number of ohms I should read across the sender? Couldn't get the ohmage
off the original gas tank, we managed to break the sender & it's shorted.
By the way, the original gas tank, rear seats, a/c-heater box, and various
other parts are for sale.
PS, Mopar Perf is now relabeling MSD 6AL's with MP colors/markings. Same
box, but black instead of red, with "Mopar" label. At Summit, only something
like a dollar's difference in price. I thought at first that Mazzo had sent me
wrong unit, but when you click on the "compare" box on Summit website, you can
see the two boxes exactly same specs. Didn't much matter to me, but some might
prefer teh MP markings....
