The Bellhousings go for $100 or so, the trannies are cheaper than the
66&up B-body units because of the ball and trunion. I have one I'd
trade with you, but I'm in GA and these things weight 150#.
It is possible that the amount of modification you'd need to do to
make that 71 4spd fit your 64 B-body would be within reason to you.
I suggest you mock it up in some 63-65 B-body and decide if the
cross member modification is something you'd want to do yourself.
I'm surprised that the BH is reported to be a "no fit" as the
engine/tranny sit pretty far forward in early B's.
