How about Chrome Paint you can do at home and cover about 20 Sq.Ft. for
$135.00. I just purchased "Killer Chrome" from alsacorp.com
You get 1spray of Black base coat, 2 Spray Cans of Clear & 1 Spray can
of Chrome. The Clear is a one time use product (you must use it in 8 hr)
The Black Base & Chrome can be used like any othe paint since it doesn't
have a hardner as does the clear.
I haven't tried it yet as I just found out about the clear so I am
getting more parts together so I don't waste much paint.
I have used some of their Bronze on some of our Light Fixtures and it
looked great using some of our Satin Clear.
This company has a program so you could get a 5% kickback for credit if
you refer someone to purchase their products. Give them my #30196 when
you order.
Then you can get the rebate next time. If you will contact me in a week
or so I will let you know how this looks.
Hope this helps someone as I haven't had very good luck with plateing
companies either. I like doing things myself, that way I know who to blame.
