IIRC there's a small spring under the shift lever. Been awhile since I had
one apart though

Subject: steering column shifter
I'm putting a '68 steering column, automatic on the column, into my '64
Fury. I took it apart, and the shifter lever now just flops around.
Does anybody know if there's a spring or something in there I left out?
Does anybody have an exploded view diagram of this, or a similar column?
I'm really stuck here.
Thanks,
Sean
