Gary - I've talked to guys about the swap and they haven't mentioned any
hood heat issues. The master cylinder is pretty close and I've made
measurements and have photos from car shows. I doubt the maxies would fit a RB motor
set up without some master cylinder tweeking. Power brakes are out and maybe
that offset master cylinder the factory used in some hemi cars could be
fabbed. BTW - my muffler guy (Reliable Mufflers) 967B Third Ave. Longview, WA
98632 (360) 425-6051 has made pipes for this swap and does not recommend 3"
tubing due to floor heat under the driver's floor. He's been in business for 30
years and has done most of the rods in the area. He also said that Toyota
makes the 4 hole flange gasket on the collector end of the manifold that works
great and is dirt cheap. However, all this work would be for nil if you're
putting a major hurt on the horsepower. They sure look sweet though. Joe
