More scoop stuff

Getting ready to put the Kramer's max wedge scoop on the Fury and other 
finishing touches before painting ... have a few questions for anyone 
that has installed a scoop:

- What did you use to support the center section at the front of the 
scoop?  I was thinking of making a stainless steel post and bonding it 
to the bottom of the scoop (where it would rest on the top of the post).

- Did you just fill-in the holes for the hood spear?  I have a shorty 
spear and popped that on to see what it would look like with the scoop.  
Kind of Cowboy Cadillac if you ask me.  What were those shorty spears 
used on ... Savoys? Post cars?

Thoughts, please!
