Gary, My 63 Savoy was a slant six and three speed on the column and when I
put the big block automatic in it I had to dimple two places on the floor
pan. On the drivers side, I had to dimple it where the rear cooling line
came out of the transmission and on the passenger side I had to put a
slightly larger dimple where the front servo is. I used a couple of ball
pean hammers. The carpet covered it up and it never showed. Hope this helps.

The automatic uses a different profile trans hump, iirc. I'm assuming
the 3 on the tree car uses the same floor trans hump as the 4 speed car.

I was wondering that as well. I would think you could just mount the
shifter
on the trans hump.
