Ok. The real trick is also when that litle voice in your head says i
thinkthats enough. Listen to it.it is rarely wrong. The danger sot in these
heads is behid the guide on the outside wall of the intake vavle bowl. You
want to remove no more than enough to remove the bum or obstuction . There
is no meat behind the gi uide , just water other than that it should be no
problem. 452s are very very good heads when ported. One of my favourites.

Remeber you saw it first here.
While helping a young friend working on his BB Belvedere in Sweden I
stumbled
accross an idea . He was getting ready to port his heads and i had been
trying
to explain where to grind. He sent me a very high definiton picture of
his
intake bowl and all of the sudden i got an idea. I loaded the picture
into
Windows paint and using the virtual pencil I drew in silver the general
cuts he
should make. This morning he sent me a photo of the cuts done properly
and asked
what next. Changing colours of the pencil i drew in the next rough
cutting
lines . I believe this will work really well and much if the reasion is
because
Ludvig is a very bright young man who has a natural gift for
understanding
motors . So there you have it. Virtual porting invented Easter weekend
2008.
I think we are on to something very practical here. and not just limited
to
porting either. With Ludvigs permission if all goes well I will post some
of it
on my Seniordragster website later this week.
