Re: 1956 Desoto Adventurer Dual Quad Hemi Engine ID Number???

The casting number for a '56 Desoto 330 Hemi block is 1636629.  On Dodge and 
Chrysler blocks, the casting number can be found on the driver's side top of 
the block, in the narrow space between the deck and the lifter valley cover. 
I would assume this to be the case for DeSotos as well but cannot be 100% 
certain.  It may be on the other side, and in any event may be tough to see 
with the intake installed..  but it will definitely be somewhere...
