That's what I thought but I've put in five different switches(used) and none work. I have power going into the switch but not out to the places it should be going-like to the fusebox.

should not matter if grounded or not, is mechanical, not electronic

Does the headlight switch have to be grounded(to the dash I guess) to work

I've tried several switches and I have no dash, interior or brake lights.
