kickdown rod

Hi all, it has been a long time since I have down this, but I need to adjust 
my kickdown rod. I think you have to push the throttle down all the way and 
then do something with the rod length?? I know it has been brought up before 
on this group, but I didn't pay any attention to it..any information  on 
this  will be helpful,Thanks..  Harry
