HI,
If it is a Canadian built car the fourth digit will be 9 and the fender tag will only indicate if it was a six cylinder or V8. No record of engine size. If the car is a VD1 it came with a /6. If it is VD2 it is a V8 car.
The Canadian tags were quite vague and did not show the details that the US tags have .
Also, a Canadian car will have a Plymouth instrument panel.

Hi All,
Been out of the loop for a bit but back looking for that 64 Dodge again!
So going to look at a 64 440 tomorrow, would like to try to identify which engine it originally came with from the Fender Tag (has a 440 in it now), maybe I'll get lucky and it'll be a MW/SW car!
If I recall correctly, Q and R are the engine identifiers, with 14 being the Street Wedge. Anyone know what the other engine numbers are?
Also, I think the numbers under Q and R were specific to Hamtrack, and A/AB may have been used at other plants.
Anyone have a short list of engine codes for the 64 Dodge from the various plants?
Appears to be nicely optioned for a 440, ps, buckets, console, round gauges (Canadian car? Maybe a Windsor build? It is in Ontario now and was brought here from the praries..)
Any help would be appreciated!
