Have a 440, 505ci, 22" aluminum 2 core radiator, 16" push electric fan was using straight water with a wetter overheated all the time. Changed to an electric water pump, moved the fan to a puller, now water with a quart of antifreeze, and Lucas Super Coolant, runs at a high of 215 degrees in town traffic.

I have a 528 hemi in my 65 Coronet. With fan blade and electric fan it still goes over 200 degrees at idle.
I read the below article about overheating.
Anybody have a comment regarding this article before I start over trying to resolve my heating problem?
I will check all these things and see what type (how many pass) radiator I have as well as pulley ratio, and thermostat.
It seems to make sense to keep water running thru the radiator for as many passes / time as possible to cool it before returning to the engine.
Thanks for your experience and comments.
