I know a guy who did this back in the late 70's to a 70 Fury ex-cop car with
a 440! It was when the gas prices were first going to a buck a gallon. He
was the Auto Shop teacher at a local high school. He wasn't concerned about
performance, just liked to experiment and wanted to save a bit of gas money.
He drove it that way for quite a while!
