Do not heat and bend the pitman arm. If you have to you can cut and weld, but don't heat and bend. Have a knowaleable welder do it.

If you're friendly with any muffler shop folk, you could have a section taken out and a new pipe section bent. I had to do that in 2 places on the driver's side. Pass side, I just heat & beat the header...

Can a pitman arm be heated and bent? Mine is hitting hard on the header pipe.
Or can you buy a dropped arm from someone? What about the idler arm?
