Gauge Trouble

The gas and temperature gauges don't work in my 64 Belv. Same pod, one over
the other.  Others are OK but they're Amps and Oil only.
I have the car up on ramps and I tried grounding out the sender, nothing.
When checked the fuses and the furthest switch to the passenger side is
marked the instrument fuse.
The fuse is OK but I have no power to either side of the fuse, switched or
unswitched.  I know it's switched but I thought I'd try either way.
So if I have no power to the fuse block, should I trace the wire back to
where?  Run a hot one?
Any help would be appreciated.
