Hi Joe!
I bought the car in 1976 , back then a "title" was not required as we
did not have a "title" system (keep in mind this is Canada) . The guy sold
the car to me using a standard "Bill of Sale" and I didn't think of getting
the US title from him , I was just happy to get a rust free example of a
50's Chrysler prod wagon! He imported the car as his property and sold it as
such with an official declaration that the car was free of all "Liens and
Encumberances " . Thats the way we used to sell cars up here , now we have a
"Sort of" title system referred to as a TOD or Transfer of Ownership
Document which has to be substantiated with the last registered owners
certificate of registration and a Bill of Sale.
After I bought it I just registered the car and drove for quite a while
after I did the trans and was content with what history I got from the guy I
bought it from , I should have been smarter..... to soon old and too late
smart!

Hope you have a good trip to British Columbia!

Regards
Wally

Does it have a title? You could do a title search which would list all
previous owners. I'll be in Merritt BC on the 28th for a late trout trip.
