1st used Pertronix Ignitor on my 76 Jensen GT that has Lotus 907 DOHC ( 4cyl) engine. Then did several Jaguar E Type V12 conversions when orginal Lucas Opus systems became undependable.  Just put #1361A on 61 Lancer Slant 6 but coil may have gone bad OR received defective module as spark intermittent. TBD - Testing unit per Pertronix procedure 'now'.

While generally reliable. You can not leave Ignition switch ON without engine running  or it will 'FRY' module.

Have several friends that have had Pertronix modules fail ( maybe from above*), so recommend carrying original points & plate set or spare module on trips. Also bring that .030 Brass Feeler Gauge. Proper reluctant to module gap critical for proper performance. 👌

* If you want to listen to Radio with engine off, make sure radio or CD unit wiring feed is independently Hot without requirinf Ignition on OR Wire to Accessories position of Ignition switch. Same for HVAC blower fan.
