1962 Plymouth Belvedere Station Wagon 318 Poly Automatic giving it a Soviet Touch Hellcat Engine or 440 Nitros

I hope this is the right way to start a new thread.

The car is a basket case in Massachusetts.

I had posted up some pictures of Aussie Valiant R and S models and was jumped on by my Rolls Royce Buddies with claims they looked ugly.. Our forum is eh different but one of my mates from Massachusetts said he knew where there was a cheap one for sale, a station wagon.

I immediately leapt on it and said I want it, I will double your money. Then I realised it couldnt be the same shape as the Aussie R or S. because he said its a 1962 Plymouth Belverdere Wagon. Then I waited for the photo to get posted up on our Rolls Royce Forum. As soon  as I saw it I jumped harder on it and told him seize the wagon now.

I have two problems 1. How to get it here as the freights crazy from Massachusetts to north Outback Queensland Australia

2. What to do with its restoration.

Okay firstly its getting basics, electric windows, seats and a 6 speed Magnum Manual gear stick box. Also, AC, Power Steering and bucket seats all in leather. The paint will be the same very deep irredissent metallic purple I have on my 1982 Rolls Royce Silver Spirit which is purple buy day but appears gloss black at night.

The 318 Poly just has to be. binned. part of that decision is Australias lunatical any asbestos prohibition. Theres probably asbestos in the cylinder head gaskets as well as the exhaust gaskets, brakes and a pile of other areas and I am going to have to invade America again and remove all the asbestos then test the car for asbestos before shipping.

I have to then import it with a Studebaker Avanti to make the project partially financial reasonable.I buy I never sell. I am into brutality not originality.

Hellcat crate engine or 440 twin turbo with Nitro's oxide. That's the question. Basically I need it to beat the dayslight out of the Max Wedge cars in top speed and accelation. because that's a Russian thing to do.

But why a 1962 Plymouth Belvedere ? Because they look mean and the station wagons have evil rears.

Sorry I maybe off topic here. I am hopeless with this internet stuff. I will see if I can start a new thread.

I have decided the thing to do is insert a Dodge Demon engine into a 1962 Plymouth Belvedere Station wagon and study its habits. Its a Russian thing.

Yes. Hammered at a bid price of $50,000. So, the $5,000 additional is the buyer's 10% fee.

BTW - seller's fee is 8%. Barrett-Jackson made $9,000 on the sale just on the floor plus the other fees they charge. I talked to the seller for a while during the week. He figured it cost him another $2,500 with shipping, special listing, passes and bidding fees to sell the car. You pay extra to get your car on the block in the later days of the week.

Thanks! I suspect the problem with the 1965 was their website update was lagging. I just rechecked and now it lists the
1965 as "Sold -- Price    $55,000.00" -- so must mean $50,000 plus $5,000.00 commission.
