RE: fuel sending units. 65 B-body



If it's done right it will be regulated, anyway.  The source side line size has one job and that's to keep up with the demanded volume.  From a practical standpoint, the debate between 5/16 and 3/8 is somewhat moot unless you find yourself running out of fuel down the track at WOT.

If the Max Wedge and '64 - '65 Hemi cars used 5/16 lines, that would reinforce that argument. 

I just recalled reading that, irregardless of the fuel line size, the needle / seat assembly / jet are relatively tiny.
Much smaller than the 1/4" fuel pump size that Paul L. pointed out.
