Neil,
Buy the six banger and drive it for a while and then swap the motor out
later. Hell it isn't that hard. I have 2 '65 Coronet 440 4 doors one with a
225 and one with a 273. The 273 car is looking to be a bit more of a
project than its going to be worth. However, the slant sixer has 87,000 original
miles and looks like it too! I am going to combine both cars to make
one...only maybe with a big block instead of a 273. My other slant sixer is going to
get the K-member and big block 3 speed stuff out of my '65 Belvedere II.
Boy I have a lot of work to do!
Also, Bart, my father has a subscription to Auto Restorer and loves it. We
have been following the different projects. For a small black and white
magazine there is a lot of useful info in it.
Rick
'64 Dodge (hope to get it home soon)

'65 Belvedere II (sacrificing its heart for another)
'67 Fury II wagon (I need to just get it running!)
'75 D100 (easy resto...just no budget yet)
'76 New Yorker Brougham (anyone want it? CHEAP!)
'86 600 SE Turbo
'95 Dakota Sport
'98 Cherokee Laredo SE (man I have to work on it too!)
