if you would have a pro shop build you a motor,
the block core charge is around 500, the crank core is 300-500.
that is 1000, to start, if you don't have the parts.

that is not to say the engine is worth that, but there
are none for sale around here for less than a thousand

i am not sure the 906 heads have that much value these
days, i have seen p/p'd 906s go for 250 at swaps,

Since I am scrapping the 440 swap and sticking with the poly, I am thinking of selling the 440 to raise more money for the poly. My local machinist, who checked and pre-bored the block/heads/crank, seemed interested. He said they are getting hard to find around Omaha and he had people looking for one. I would like a rough idea of the value if possible.

Here's the dope on it:

Block: PT440P24840825 which is Trenton Plant/440ci/premium fuel/1968/#825 assembled on
4-5-68 Casting #2536430 (From a '69 Belv.)

Heads: 2843906

Crank: 2658457 Forged

Everything has been checked for leaks/cracks and the block was bored to .027" over as a pre-bore for .030" over. (I didn't want it sitting in the finished form.) The heads are bare and everything is cleaned. The crank doesn't need any grinding. It is perfect as is. I do have the sheet metal, timing cover, brackets/pulley's, rockers, rods, etc.. No pistons and I didn't intend to use the rods.

Any ideas? Rich Kinsley '64 Polara 4 door
