I installed my rearend out of a 68 GTX. Didn't have to change a thing. It  
was a little wider than the tapered axle rearend but with 10" wide tires on it,  
I can just get my fingers between the tires and the wheel well opening.  With 
stock type tires it shouldn't be a problem at all. Just watch your  back 
spacing on the rims.
