727 trannys are just not that hard to rebuild. Just pay attention when you take one apart. I do all my own and some for customeres.

That all depends on a lot of things...I'm cheap like someone else on the
list mentioned earlier today, so if I can do something, I do it myself.
And that goes for every aspect of my life. I do all my own home repairs,
too. I've learned nearly everything I know how to do by jumping inot it
alone. Broke a few things, but LEARNED!I have swapped several trannys
and a couple dozen engines over the years. If you're gonna own classic
cars your whole life, you might as well learn how to fix them...'cause
you're gonna!!! If you're mechanically inclined, it's no big job, if
you're not, it is.
